My name is Rt. Rev. Akanmu Rufus Ogundijo, the Headteacher of Bromley Technical. With over 40 years of experience in managing and running secondary schools across the UK and Africa, I welcome you to Bromley Technical School. We provide an integrated education for all pupils aged 14 to 19, working closely with you to ensure every child's success in life. We offer a holistic education that nurtures each child's spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being. For instance, our weekly timetable includes diverse classes such as 'Mindfulness Mondays', where students learn meditation techniques, 'Creative Expression' sessions involving arts and crafts, and collaborative projects like the 'Sustainability Challenge', where students design eco-friendly solutions to real-world problems. This integrated approach ensures that learning is both practical and relatable.
Our curriculum is designed to balance academic and technical education. This balance allows students to excel in GCSE and GCE Advanced Levels across a wide range of subjects. Additionally, every student is encouraged to master one technical or vocational subject at Level 2 or Level 3 of the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF). This dual focus ensures success both academically and technically, enabling progression to higher education while gaining valuable technical qualifications. Our system treats each student as an individual, providing the support needed to thrive.
